MG TD TF 1500 - Classic Car Insurance in California
I moved to California earlier this year, and I recently tired to renew the auto insurance on my 52 TD. I figured it would be relatively easy just to renew with the insurance agency that I used for the previous 5 years while living in NJ. But JC Taylor told me that they would not cover my car because I do not store it in a locked garage. Our house, like many in town, has a car port. Garages really are a luxury here, and quite frankly not required because of the nice weather. I then tried Haggerty and got the same response. This question is for all of you who live in California. Who will insure my car. I am not willing to pay $200 a month to store the car in some remote garage especially since I drive it quite often out here. Any suggestions?

Mike I live in your area and insure with AAA, My annual premium is a little more than others have stated about theirs. But I have no restrictions as to miles or events only. I try to get out for a drive every weekend and many evening in the summer.

GD - do you think they will handle my situation, insure a car that is parked in a car port and not a locked garage?
