MG TD TF 1500 - Bob II begins his world tour
Shipped Bob out today to Don in the Peach state for Saturdays festivities. For those of you who are friends on FaceBook..check out Bobs page. To everyone else consider joining the new age and joining just to follow Bob if nothing else. Lets get some requests for the next Bob apperance so Don can get him off to somebody and keep him moving around. Don't really want to see him back home for about a year. You tube link for the instructions here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2WHn5ZXAJ8

Good luck to Bob and the Bobmobile in his first race on this , at least, year long adventure of races. Great video LaVerne of the details of what makes the Bobmobile. Saw him race in Reno, but wasn't aware of how you put the Bobmobile together. I'm not aware of any such race events out this way, but will check with some club folks to be sure. If there's such an event I will definitely let the appropriate parties know and get him set this way. I look forward to the reports of his journeys and triumphs -- John

Want to keep this on your minds...lets get some more venues lined up for the Bobster. See him in action if your heading to the GOF...better yet take him back home and race him at your club when they are done.

I'm pleased to announce that Bob has arrived in Georgia for this Saturdays racing at the GOF. Hope to receive pictures and video of the event for posting. Next up for Bob is a trip to Chatanooga November 4 and 5. Get out and see the Bobster. Need more events. Lets keep him moving. I do have a request that he make an appearnce in Tasmainia in April 6-10.

This is cool ...safe journies Bob! A a part of me is glad I'm not flying 250,000 miles a year anymore. I have, in the past, had to "explain" what something in my bag was before ...this one could be interesting! LOL Hint : If flying with Bob avoide comments like "It's Bob...he's the bomb".

I'm thinking it could be interesting at customs when they see a metal object with a couple of electronic devices with batteries and a couple of bondo lumps ingrained with lead shot....might have to fly Al Jazir

I hope you are all sticking a 'dash plaque' to his underside.....

Laverne, you are a brilliant mechanic. The Bobmobile is a very impressive little racer. I hope I get the opportunity to see him in action one day. Best of luck to the Bobster. Dan H.

Just found out the show in Chattanooga is not going to have Valve Cove Racing Nov. 4-6. Need a new destination for Bob after this weekend in Athens at the Southeastern Fall GOF Mk XVI. Bob arrived in fine condition on Wednesday in Atlanta and made a scenic drive in the Club trailer with the GOF workers caravan (2 TDs, 1 TF, + tow truck and station wagon) to Athens on Thursday Don Harmer, Southeastern MG T Register www.SEMGTR.org

| Hi LaVern...We will be hosting the 2012 MG Indaba in Clarence in South Africa from 20th to 23rd September in conjunction with celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the MGB. Martyn Wise, founding editor of MG Enthusiast magazine, and contributor to the MGB articles in Octane Magazine, has agreed to be the Club’s guest speaker at the Indaba. A fun filled three days are being planned for the Indaba and one of the items on the agenda is an evening of what we call " Rocker Box Racing " you call it Valve Cover Racing. We would love to have Bob ll here in South Africa for that weekend, do you think he will be upto making a trip to sunny SA, he will be well looked after and safely forwarded to his next destination.
