MG TD TF 1500 - Battery Caps and Cover

A real long shot - but does anyone have any old "LUCAS" battery caps used on te old batteries? Antique Auto Battery won't sell just the caps and make you buy the whole battery - they are overpriced and under performing I have heard. At least they stopped claiming they would have liability if they sold just the caps.

Reason I want? I won the finned alloy battery cover on ebay. It has a slot cut out to get at the battery caps. Interestingly Hank Rippert has one that is uncut and he says that is why they didnt sell, as you would have to remove the bonnet to top up! I think his never sold or used. My guess is that they told the purchaser to cut a space as appropriate for their battery to get at the caps, although the cover has MG embossed on it.

If there are any Lucas caps or just 6 black caps of any kind, let me know.
