MG TD TF 1500 - Attaching radiator support bracket - TF
| When attaching the radiator support bracket there are rubber mounts with steel rings (see photo)that fit over the posts attached to the bracket. Looking at the Service Part Manual and Moss catalog, it shows two such rubber mounts per post. Question: are there suppose to be two such rubber mounts at the top of each post, or one mount above and one below? Photo 1 show the two together at the top, photo 2 shows these mounts separated. TIA -- John

It's been awhile but I think one goes above the frame bracket and one goes below, kind of like a sandwich to let the radiator be isolated from the vibration to some extent. Mike D.

Thanks Mike -- That was my first thought too, but in things of this nature, one wants to make sure as other attachments have to line up, etc. I learning to be more cautious before proceeding and this BB is my best resource when in doubt. Cheers -- John

Hi John, Mike D is correct, one up,one below. If you get this order wrong, best of luck trying to fit the bonnet tops to side engine panels accurately ! Cheers Rob Grantham TF3719("Aramis"),TF9177("Athos").

Rob -- Thanks, that's the info I needed and the reason I wanted to get this correctly so that all else will line up and fit as should be. In appreciation -- John
