MG TD TF 1500 - Attaching firewall to TF tub
| The new front top (and side) rail(s) (made by Fenton Bagley)on the tub does not have holes drilled in it (photo) to take the firewall mounting bolts and I don't have a good photo of how it was previously mounted. I don't think the firewall mounted flush with the top edge of the wood, but was a little lower, so there was about 1/2" of wood showing. Does anyone have any info on this (or photos)? thanks for any help. Tyler

| The bottom two bolts on each side should go through the angle iron brackets in the tub. These will locate your firewall north/south to the tub. Watch the alignment along the top of the firewall. There are no predetermined reference points here. You need to check the arch/ sag alignment along the top. |

| My unrestored tub shows approx 1/4 inch of vertical timber above the centre firewall if that helps. There is also what looks like some very thin hard black rubber sandwiched between the two. Matthew. |
