MG TD TF 1500 - Armature winding source needed
Got a call from Abingdon Spares asking if I knew of anyone who's rewinding T-car generator and starter motor armatures. I don't know of anyone since Holcomb stopped doing it. Any of you folks know of a source? Thanks, Bud

Bud, I typed in "armature rewinding" on Bing and received many possibilities. I don't know anything about them personally but it may be a start.

Hi Bud, I provided Bobby with the best info I have, don't know if any of it will turn out to be good for them but if we can help our suppliers it is in our best interest to do so. Cheers, Bob

I once wandered into an old electric motor place, and found it was full of the very special machines that are used to wind motor/generator coils to any size or shape necessary. When I went back, it was all gone, but the equipment is common to such (old) places. So, look for old motor shops in any archaeoindustrial area; not necessary that they be "automotive". FRM

Star rebuilt my generator and I have been very pleased with their service and interaction with the customer. Mike is very easy to deal with. Regards, Jim
