Here is a top view of the pieces. Could they have something to do with the rear splash apron??

I don't recognize those as any standard parts for the TD. Additionally, they look to be homemade,so may be something that the PO added for personal reasons. They have nothing to do with the installation of the rear splash apron. Cheers - Dave
