Tom - any word on who is producing them, number to be produced, guesstimates on cost for a conversion? A photo of one of those new heads would be interesting wouldn't it.... I can just hear my TF1500 now with a nice twin cam head...... Jeff

Jeff - please contact me off-line. Thanks. Tom

| I saw your post on the MG BBS inquiring about the Runyan Twin Cam Head. Terry Peddicord has been working on this project for about two years and just recently was able to produce good quality head castings. Parts such as cam covers, chain covers, water manifolds etc. are already completed. A great deal of very accurate machining will complete these parts to the highest standard. Casting the head alone required the assembly of 60 separate cores to create that one single part. Below are two links showing the work at the foundry and the head casting process. The next step will be to machine the head castings and then parts like cams, finger followers, springs etc. Production will be very limited, maybe 5-10 systems on the first batch and I will be the exclusive agent for this item. Let me know if you have any further questions. | Tom- Great shots. Sort of like waiting outside the delivery room for your 1st born. Would be interested, within reason of course. Have several bottom candidates to slip underneath, XPAG and/or Wolseley. Could be the final hurrah for my MG career and nice finish for the last do-over of the MKII. Advise when things get closer. | Thanks, Paul; I'll let everyone on the BBS know how the project is progressing. Tom |

Any idea how many digits in the price?
Rob Edwards
I could name a price, but then I would have to kill - well, myself... There is so much work still to be done that I can't come up with any price, in good conscience. As soon as we have arrived at a tentative price, I will be sure to post the information. Tom

There I go, drooling on my keyboard again.

Tom, My family for years, owned a small brass foundry and as a teenager, I used to work summers in it. We also cast quite a bit of aluminium; so I'm quite familiar with all that's going on here ... the moulds and cores; the risers, flow galleries and vents. I've made many moulds, but nothing ever as complex as this. I wish the person undertaking this project, the very best of success. Those who don't understnd what's going on here, can't possibly appreciate all the work that's gone into getting this far. This is expensive work and the pictures are deceiving. I would be curious to learn if this project will use solid, or roller cams? Gord Clark Rockburn, Qué.
