MG TD TF 1500 - AMPMETER WIRING

The TD wiring diagram shows Brown wire (#33) and Brown/white (#37) connected to the amp.
Looking at the back of the ampmeter, which wire is connected to the right side?
Make any difference?

Hi Daniel, The brown wire should go to the same terminal of the ammeter as the brown wire from the inspection lamp socket. You will know if the wires are incorrect, if the needle reacts in reverse. Cheers Phil
