MG TD TF 1500 - American Mille Miglia-anybody go?

Just came accross this website. Apparantly the inegural American version of the Italian classic was held last week in CA. Route was from Santa Barbara north through SLO, up to Monterey then back down the coast thru Sur, etc. I've driven those roads many times in my "Ford". What a kick that must have been in "real" road cars! 3 days, 1,000 miles. The picture gallery shows a nice TF (#821). Anybody recognize him?

Wouldn't it be amazing of a group from this forum could somehow show up next year for this event? Anybody interested?

Hmmmm.... $8000.00 .... probably not me.....

Hard to pay $8000 to drive on public roads. Then again, the group rate is a mere $5000 each.....
