I had Dave upgrade my real axle. His work was very well done and the finished product looked like new and ran like new. He was also very helpful with advise as I installed the unit myself. Tom '54 TF

The 4.3 that Dave put together for me last spring has run better than I ever expected, so would recommend his for anyne looking to do an exchange.

Dave, Tried your e-mail and it came back. I'm interested in the 4.3. Please contact me. Gary

Gee, thanks to my good customers for the great comments! Gary, sorry I don't know why the problems but I sent you an email this morning. I am having a much harder time finding the 4.3 pumpkins and have had to bump my price a little bit because they're costing me more. Worse than that Is it looks like I'll be making fewer axles this season due to lack of pumpkins. If anyone has a source for one I'd sure like to know. Dave

Dave & others, We have a 4.3 pig, as well as a good spare TD rear end. Hadn't really considered relinquishing those parts, or they'd have been dumped on ebay. Anyone here on the forum, if you're seriously interested, email me at jrnorthrupsr@Yahoo.com. JIM

Dave I may have some 4.3 pumpkins available. What are they worth theses days?
Steve Carroll
| Steve, I sent you an email. Most of them are a little under $200, some are a bit more. I pay the freight on top of that. I've bought quite a few in the last couple of years. The gears must be rust free (pinion flange can have a little rust OK) and without any heavy wear or chips. It's also a good idea to look at the markings on the ring gear itself to confirm it's a 10/43. I mention these things because I've had several "good" pumpkins shipped to me that were not useable. | Dave, Could you give me an approximate price for your conversion if I send you the original TF axle and a 4.3 pumpkin. This is for a friend of mine. Thanks and have a good day! John P.S. I may have a couple extra 4.3 pumpkins. I will let you know. |
John Progess
Hi John, I sent you an email with the information sheet. The best way is to just have your friend buy the axle and send his pumpkin back with his axle. I'll credit him $230, the price I pay for a pumpkin shipped to my door. That puts the new axle under $1000. Dave
