To me it is the most terrible thing to do with these lovely oldies. The muddy water will flow into all components down there an stay there and do its rusty job. This is not the way to treat heritage.

Huib, Maybe I would hesitate to do that if I owned a TC or K-type, but I do enjoy watching people drive the cars as they were intended to do. Trial driving is a very old sport in which MG's excelled. Think of the factory supported Cream Cracker and three Musketeer' teams that trashed the competition where ever they competed. I'm sure these competitors think that they preserve the MG heritage better than those owners that only show their "trailor queens" at the concours d'elegance? Willem

Looks like a good time to me! Given a choice of this or sitting in a lawn chair all day occasionly getting up to wipe a spec of dust off the bonnet, I'd do this without a second thought. "Motoring Robustly" gets my vote any day.
