MG MGF Technical - wood veneer
The wood veneer in the F is looking a bit sad, the rest of the interior is as new its just the wood veneer around the centre console and around the air vents. I was going to order a wood like sticker kit from a mob in Germany off ebay, looks ok and its cheap, like a hundred bucks landed. Has anyone tried this stuff? its almost impossible to find new OEM so Im discovering and it'd be dear as poison Im sure. Thanks :o)

P, Do you have a MK1 or MK2 F? I have a factory fitted walnut centre console on my MY2000 F and used a stick-on kit to enhance the effect, which includes heater control & switch panels, air vents and MG logo. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5141/5597776114_b37ec7b3c4.jpg The MG logo on the top of the dash and the centre vent surround are showing signs of de-lamination after a few years. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5261/5597771620_0ab583f7c1.jpg

Contact Michael at www.aquadip.com.au he did mine when the crappy sticky stuff came off due to extreme summer in carpark at work. Its coated the same as in Mercedes - 3D coating. Pick any colours or effect you want. I think it costs me around $300 (late 2004) for the cowl, centre dash and airvents but is probably more expensive now. Don't know, you'd have to ask. I think a mob in Brisbane does it too called "modicoat" www.modicoat.com at West Cleveland Brisbane. Used to be called mad coatings. Also place in Victoria called Dashboard Centre www.dashboardcentre.com.au. I highly recommend "Aquadip" as Michael did mine and its very very nice indeed.

Thanks guys, that aquadip looks cool, wonder how they do it?? So Sue you took the parts off and gave them to Michael? Can you post a pic of your car's interior? I ordered the stick on stuff from Germany its only 79 bucks so if it sucks no biggy. Oh Sam its a Mk 1 where'd you get your stick on from?
