MG MGF Technical - VVC misfire
| Was on a track day this weekend and changed down from 3rd to 2nd instead of 4th resulting in the obvious high revs. About a lap later lack of power and the engine gave the impression of only firing on three cylinders. Ran the engine and pulled off the plug leads individually and no change when lead three is off and this lead only archs intermitantly to the block. Could the timing belt have slipped when over reved or could it be the leads/coilpacks? Any suggestions would be appreciated |

| Worst case you could have dropped a valve, I would suggest a compression test of that cylinder. |
