MG MGF Technical - Up date on shudder
| Hi all to help others that might search for this type of problem i have had it fixed it was my right rear wheel bearing i went though many months of looking at all the things you were sugesting which realy helped me to understand my car so what was the problem when i traveled on a highway and got up to and past 80km i could feal a shudder i could not be sure were it was comming from front or back and it was not though the stearing wheel i thought the tyres might be the problem i thought the wheels might not be round i thought the tie rods might be loose i just didnt know i had wheel balanceing done i changed the wheels from back to front and back at the end it was due for the yearly service and i asked them to take it for a good long fast test drive not just around the block and straight away thay new what was the problem its funny only the 1 bearing had gone and they said on Fs it is nealy allways rear left side but not mine it took them 1.75 hours to fix and the part cost $147 i drove it home last night and it was like new i now think it might of been like that for longer than i thought hope this helps i follow this site all the time and think it is importent that when people fix a problem from infomation from this site thay should finish off how it was fixed thanks for your help and i will keep reading Andrew Australia |
