MG MGF Technical - Supercharging
Has anyone had experience with Supercharging an MG-F. Have read that MGFs fitted with air-conditioning cannot be Supercharged. Am assuming this is because of the room the air-con compressor takes up in the engine bay. Any comments.....

The Turbotechnics conversion (the original SP Cheetah - more here: http://www.mgfregister.org/mgpitfiles/FasTForward/sp%20cheetah.pdf) positioned the compressor in the position that is occupied by the airconditioning if that's fitted - so for this conversion, aircon is not possible. However, it ought to be possible to engineer your own kit - perhaps using parts from the R50 Mini Cooper (I've seen a Rotrex supercharger nailed to a VVC K-series before, so it's possible) - and keep the airconditioning if that's a project goal for you. :o)

Good point, I'd forgotten about the Mini Cooper being supercharged. Will looking into this. Am sure that we'll be able to come up with suitable brackets out here. Have had my F since new so as its ten years old now I am thinking of shouting it a make-over..... :) Have already done the coil conversion so a bit more useable power is next on the list. Am not interested in going the Honda R or S way that is pretty popular out here...

You should be able to find those superchargers easily as they get pulled off new cars for the tuning kits to be fitted.
