MG MGF Technical - stuttering f 2001 plate

Any help is in need for a mgf stuttering in 3rd gear

Just had the same problem on a 1997. Is it when you slow,change down and accelerate away? If so I changed the distributor cap, which still looked new, rotor arm and fuel filter, which solved the problem. I shopped around and was amazed by the difference in dist cap prices. Europarts being far cheaper. Hope that helps.

Brian, but then the 2001 does not have the disributor cap and rotor arm.
The fuel filter is a good shot. Could well be fuel starvation.
Darren, Have you been running the fuel tank low ??

hi geoff can i say i have been running low, not good so you think the fuel filters good? spoke to dave andrews. he gave me a map sensor so i am going to fit that in my car...

so i have stuttering in 2nd gear then
and 3rd not all the time only when warm, i have been told map sensor , coolant plug, fuel filter htleads,
