MG MGF Technical - steering ??

i have just got a 1998 mgf 1.8i. The steering is heavy on one side, after reading a number of other peeps experiences i looked to see if i could find the 40amp fuse but cannot. Also wen i turn the ignition on no eps light is visable.Any help plz
z symons

The Fuse should be easy to find. It is separately mounted on top of the inner wing of the LHS front wheel (LHD car, not 100% for RHD)

It is covered in a milky white plastic cover you can slide in the direction of the windscreen: There you will find the 40Amp fuse. Don't be confused mine says 75 Amp.....

Reading your post for the second time: is it just steering heavy into one direction?
Kasper

Heavy steering to one sides sounds like our old favourite "steering left" problem relating to the positioning of the EPAS sensors...
