MG MGF Technical - SRS Light permanently ON
| Hi All, I just wanted to add to this forum, my findings on an SRS light being permanently on. I couldn't find any information regarding these findings on any forum or web site. Having completed some work on my F last year with my dash out, I couldn't find why my SRS light was now permanently on. All web sites and forums said check under your seats with those cables and plugs. Last night I decided to go for it with my engineering head on. Nobody mentions check the passenger airbag SRS plugs are in the correct locations as they can be swapped over very easily. They have the same keyways too, so it can easily be done. So all of you out there that are scouring the forum for SRS issues. check your 2 x passenger SRS plugs and cables. In my case the cable with the red tape wrapped round it 2 inches back from the SRS plug goes into the passenger airbag module with a dab of yellow paint next to the socket. Of course the plug not labelled then goes into the airbag module not labelled. Your SRS dash light could go out then, if this was your prob. I hope this helps anyone with SRS light on issues, as I was really pulling my hair out on this. Best wishes, Martin |

| Martin, Probably the reason that you couldn't find the answer to your problem on any of the Forums is because MGF passenger airbags are pretty rare in the UK and as a result nobody has come across this before. As you say the connectors under the seat are the usual culprits :-) |
