MG MGF Technical - side window issue

Morning all,

drivers side window all but came adrift and on removing door card noticed the following, the metal 'x' bracket under the glass had come adrift. I assume this keeps the glass level as the window rises and lowers. Not even sure what held the two pieces together as there are no bolts, maybe a tack weld ?
Anyway I would suggest its knackered and therefore need to replace but would like some advice as to 1/ what it is I need to order and 2/ is it a fairly easy job to replace.
