MG MGF Technical - Rear Window Zip

Hello, I wonder if anyone out there has had this minor but annoying problem?

This morning due to the rain i had to put my top back up, shame after a few sunny days of driving around in the sun, (Was that this years Summer!)Anyway to cut a long story short the zip on the back window jammed and like an old pair of jeans would not budge. after a while of tugging the zip moved BUT....... It did not close the pegs behind it and remained open.

Is there a way of repairing this without the expense of a new hood. I have noticed that there are rear windows for sale ! So i am assuming that there must be a way of getting the rear window out thus being able to detach the window from the hood without removing the hood itself.

Is anyone able to shed any light on how this can be done as this would be very much appreciated?
