MG MGF Technical - PU front kit - recommendation

I've just been out for a test run afer completing a front end change of rubber to PU (from floflex.co.uk)

Now I have replacement rust free wishbones with PU, ARB with PU and the car is transformed. No harsh ride, precise steering on fast corners, no niggling rattles (e.g. with window glass at 1/8 open). Restored magic carpet ride on slow and bumpy side roads. A fantastic result!

Mind you, I've been very thorough and used new bolts and precise torque settings everywhere, which all contribute to a decent result. I have also been liberal with copper slip and waxoyl wherever it makes sense. Despite a current MOT, I renewed the upper and lower hub ball joints whilst dismantled - but am convinced that PU is the puppies plums. Forget all the expense of playing with dampers/tyres etc as a first resort in old cars - IMHO changing to PU is the way to go first to solve a myriad of problems. At just over £100 for a full kit it's the best money I've spent on my "F" to date and well worth the hassle of the DIY involved (thanks to these archives and the "current" group members for advice on various points).

I can't wait to renew the back end rubber with the rest of the PU kit supplied. At that time I shall replace all four bottom damper bushes to PU - flowflex are making some to my dimensions if any one else wants to replace theirs.

It is my understanding that the PU kit I have is made from a material grade that is a nice mid-point of flex, between rubber and the harder race spec kits that cost 3 times more.

On a lighter note, please may the weather go back to sunny, so top down driving can be enjoyed. The recent wet spell has given a mid-summer interval for essential upgrades/repairs, but now is the time for a reprieve!
