MG MGF Technical - Possible electric fault?

Hi All.
Desperate for help here.
New battery fitted 3 months ago, but something is draining all its power. It starts with a jump, fine the next day, but will go dead at will.
It is due its MOT, failed on beam on one side, (Beam not high enough) & stiff steering on one side. So 3 probs not just one. Grrrrrrrrrr!
Mechanic reckons its an electric fault.
So any ideas. The mechanic is not an MGF specialist & is looking the car over on Monday. The whole thing sounds terribly expensive. Could the two other probs be affecting it starting all the time.
Asking you guys as if I can get a rough idea of what could be causing it, then I can let mechanic know & maybe save some pounds. lol.
Thanks in advance.
Charley

I'm afraid it could be anything.

You would need to get an Ampmeter from halfords or where ever. Set it to measure amps current and disconnect the live battery terminal and add the ampmeter, and reconnect battery. Then you will see the current drain, then remove all the fuses and put them back in one at a time to work out which fuse when put back causes the big drain.

Then let us know as a bit of a "narrowing down the range" of stuff that it could be.
