MG MGF Technical - painting mgf exhaust
Advice wanted please. My VVC is presently laid up for the winter and one of the "tasks" I fancy doing before it goes back on the road 1 April is painting the (visible )exhaust black.I believe the exhaust system is stainless steel(it's the original from '97 but only done 50k) and obviously gets very hot.Is it actually possible to obtain a high temp exhaust paint that would do the job,is it advisable?(Well,I would like to cover up the rather vulgar exposed bits rusty appearance). If it's an OK job anyone know where I can get a suitable paint? I would rather use a brush than spray as I don't want the spray to go all over the back valance or anywhere else.Diolch yn fawr/thanks very much.

There used to be a product called 'pot black' for doing motorbike cylinder barrels.

Halford do a small tin of black with a temp rate of 650c about £6.00. No problem with brush or spray go a good finish. Regards Roger
