MG MGF Technical - MGF Sills
| Sprayed some dinitrol wax into the sills of my MGF, using access holes in each end of the sill. One hole is behind the front wheel arch liner, the other visible at the front of the rear wheel arch. I shone a torch in the rear hole, and noticed a central divider plate running along the sill. Does this plate run the full length, or just act as a stiffener for the jacking point(s)rear and front. Do I need to drill extra holes to get access to the other side of the plate. If my thinking is correct, I was thinking of drilling under the threshold plates on top of the sills. Can someone explain the sill construction. |

| The best way to access the inner sills is via the side air intakes. Simple to remove, just a few screws, and you then get good access for rust proofing the length of the sills. Can also check for rust in the rear inner sill area... |
