| First of all there are two types of hood covers (half tonneau cover). The MGFs came with them as standard and it was only when the TF came out that they were made an option. The early ones had a wire which tucked unsder the hood and had three poppers along the top of the T-bar. These were awful to fit so they replaced them with one that had a tail on it to tuck into the boot gutter and eyes that fitted over posts on either end of the T-bar with a popper in the middle. You need the later one (just in case a previous owner bought one of the older kind). Lay the cover across the top of the hood and fit the two nylon loops round either end of the hood frame. Loop the eyes over the small posts and stud the popper on the T-bar. Then do up the poppers on the tabs at near the door catch. Lastly, pull the tail and fit it into the gutter of your bood closing the lid gently so as not to damage it. Here's a picture of the cover fitted with a windstop. You'll also find some other pictures at - http://www.csmgf.co.uk/darkside/darkside_index.htm

| Presumably the Softop cover is Original MGR but what Windeflector do you have ?? It will not fit all the array of cheap aftermarket products available. Geoff f. |
