MG MGF Technical - Loose back end

hi guys i am hoping someone here can help a friend of mine. he has a TF and recently he has found when he exceeds 50mph there seems as if something is loose at the back end and the car jerks to one side as you drive. any thoughts on what to look for first. thanks.

Hi Lee,
Check your wheel nuts are done up tight then check your suspension, a shockie or damper as I think you guys call it in UK may have come off the bush or may be damaged or even loose. If your wheels are unbalanced or even balding or worn on the inside of the tyres sometimes the car can jerk to one side. It could be a majority of things but the above is a start on what to look for. Hopefully for your friend it will be a simple fix. HTH

thanks, we will be checking those things, i was not sure if there were more deeper issues that were common with the rear end.

Lots of joints on the rear suspension that need to be carefully inspected. Suggest you take it into a garage if your not sure.
