MG MGF Technical - Instrument lights not working but bulbs OK

My mgf main instrument lights are not working, but when i check the bukbs they are all OK. all the warning lights work, as do the oil temp and clock, and even the light behind the odometer works yet the speedo and rev counter is not illuminated. Any ideas anyone?

Hi Jeff,
Does your direction indicators work? If not then fuse no.1 has blown - maybe through an indicator bulb going "pop". Fuse rating is 10 amps.

There is a thumb wheel on the dash immediately below the rev counter that dims the instrument lights. It may have been cciently turn to off to winding it upward to set the lighting to max.
