MG MGF Technical - guage valve

i have noticed that the temp gauge goes up quicker now, couple off weeks ago i would get into work and it would go up slightly , but of late it going up quicker same route to work would the weather be factor

Hi Darren,
Warmer weather will shorten the time for the engine to warm up. Turning the heater off will do the same at any time of the year. A good idea in winter to speed up engine coming to normal temp, even though it's tempting to have the heater on all the time during the cold months. My F is up to temp within a mile of leaving home. Nothing to worry about unless the temp rises above the norm level - just below horizontal on the gauge. I presume your coolant level is okay and you have not noticed any leaks anywhere.
