MG MGF Technical - Fixing rear heated screen tab
Hi, One of the tabs on my glass rear heated screen has come away from the glass, are there any products you can buy such as conductive adhesive that can stick it back on again.

Conductive adhesive isn't strong enough for wear and tear. However you can do it in two stages with epoxy glue (or UV curing glass adhesive if the tab is still glued to a glass chip). Once it is reattached, then several fully dried layers of silver loaded glue to make a conductive path should last years.

I have resoldered both of the connections on my window and then reinforced them using Araldite two part epoxy adhesive.

Hi David, how did you manage to get the solder to wet the printed pattern on the window. I made a tag for mine and using a 100W iron was able to flow the solder with the tag pressed onto the glass, but I couldnt get the solder to flow onto the element. I tried using resin cored solder and painted on flux for silver solder. I did not have any acid flux available though
