MG MGF Technical - Exterior door handle not working - solution!

Can't find the thread now, but someone had posted that their passenger exterior door handle had stopped working - the handle would pull up, but not open the door.

By co-incidence, had noticed the same on my car last week, and today had a little time to take off the door card to investigate.

Turns out that the screw in the operator lever had come loose, causing not only the return spring to detach, but the lever itself to ride over the handle's operator lever...

Spare parts bin gave me a replacement, which wasn't strictly necessary, as all I had to do was remove the exterior door handle, reattach the spring, and tighten the pivot screw.

Easy really.
