MG MGF Technical - Engine racing
The engine of my MGF sometimes races - typically I would be slowing down, taken my foot off of the excelerator and when I depress the clutch to brake to a complete stop, the revs go up considerably and will stay that way unless I flick the ex. I thought it was the step up and changed that part, but it is still happening. I would be grateful for any advice you can offer. Mardy

Sticky throttle is a common problem with the 48mm standard plastic throttle body. The solution is to buy a metal one off ebay or from a specialist and you can fit it yourself as it is quite easy. HTH Nick

Thanks for the advice - I'll try that.
