MG MGF Technical - engine light

orange engine light has come on and stayed on not flashing and car is running normal any advice on what is wrong

There are quite a few things that could cause the engine management light to come on. The only way to be certain of the cause is to connect the car to a diagnostic computer to read out the error codes.

Whereabouts in Kent are you? If you are near Sittingbourne, we could read the error codes and advise you.

not far away ralph may do that should i not drive to much or is it likely to be somthing that wont harm the car
