MG MGF Technical - DIY Mechanics
| Just been on a wander through the .org forum , first time in a long long while and noticed some strange posts from some DIY mechanics. Example 1 has diagnosed a faulty MAF sensor , yes you read that correctly MAF with an F . Now how the heck can he diagnose something when he doesnt even know what its called ?? Example 2 has diagnosed a faulty crank sensor , bought a replacement but hasnt the foggiest where the part goes. All I can say is I hope they dont move into medicine " yes sir the pain you are feeling is due to a strain in your fiddlewip"- " then turns to the other doctor and says " by the way where would I find that ? " |

| Well, when my dad has problems connecting to the internet I can diagnose what part of the link has gone down without knowing where the phone socket is located. As for the MAF, either that means he doesn't know the Rover uses a MAP rather than a MAF, but continuing the analogy it's like troubleshooting an internet connection assuming broadband when the user is connected to a modem - again, not that stupid. |
