MG MGF Technical - Compliance Washer settings

Hi,

Ive recently fitted a set of compliance washers to my 98 MGF and Im a bit confused regarding the recommended settings considering the rear toe settings are now fixed. There seems to be relatively few web pages dealing with this issue, some recommend a certain settings whereas others contradict this information. If possible could you let me know what youre running and the results?

TIA

Use the standard settings as a default - you can't go too far wrong (0 degrees 10 minutes toe-in).

If you want to make the car feel more 'pointy', then dial out some of that stabilising toe-in - going for 0 deg 5 min toe-in is a good intermediate point, and some go for parallel (0 degrees) at the rear.

Going for toe-out at the rear is possibly going a bit too extreme - the back end of the car will start to feel very nervous as the rear will tend to passively follow bumps and steer into them.

A suspension summary can be found here: http://mgf.ultimatemg.com/group2/suspension/tracking.htm

Hope this helps
