MG MGF Technical - clutch bleeding
| 'ello all, I am trying to bleed my clutch system. I rebuilt the master, but not the slave cylinder, over the winter - got too cold to crawl around under the car in Wisconsin! Anyway, I've bled by the shop manual directions, then by pumping the slave, and still cannot get it in any gear. I'm going back out to try the slave to brake method, but meanwhile I'd like any thoughts on (2) things; I'm consistantly getting fluid with no air bubbles, I seem to be able to get it into gear when the car is off, but not when it is running, why? (2) the top of my master cyinder cap came off and fluid shot out across the fender, what does that mean? Didn't even know it was two parts! thanks in advance for any wisdom, brady |
