MG MGF Technical - Clock Removal
Got a new clock for my 2002 MGF 1.8i in my Christmas stocking. Trying to remove the old one. I've got the vent out and have removed the wires, but can't see or feel how to undo whatever is securing the clock unit in place. Also think I may have received the wrong clock, as the it only has a singe 4 way connector, whereas the current one has a plug in bulb, single lucas connector and a small plug. Any help would be welcomed!

Cracked it! Pulled console out a few inches and removed facia holding clock and oil temp gauge. Now working on relacing clock part number YFB000240, which has a 4 pin connector with correct part number YFB100450, which has a push-in bulb and 2 x lucas connectors.

You need the earlier clock. The one with the 4 Pin connector was fitted to cars from 2000 model year on.

Hi David. That's what the supplier thought, but I have a 2002 model, which has the older clock fitted. Supplier (MyMgCar.com) is going to replace it. :-)
