MG MGF Technical - Brake lights
| Wifey's F had the brake lights on permanently (until she hit bumpy bits then they flickered) as I found out while following her the other evening. Looked in the archive and there was the answer. Hoorah, but who the hell thought of such a demonic method of switch adjustment? Got myself wedged in the footwell while trying to re-fit the damned thing, fortunately the finger tips of my right hand could just reach the seat adjuster and as the seat slid back the last inch I was released (must give up the Guinness and pies). Anyway, problem solved, so, a BIG THANK YOU to all of you who contribute your knowledge to this site, without it I'm sure us lesser mortals would get wedged in uncomfortable places far more often whilst not really knowing what we're doing and not achieve the desired result. My thanks you all. Adam |

| You're welcome ! :o) I'd suggest to tell the better half to never again _raise_ the brake pedal while vacuum cleaning the carpet or while standin bored in a traffic jam. This pedal lifting causes the misalignement of the switch. The way to get there (LHD car) http://www.mgfcar.de/event/2001_fahrsicher/dk_DCP_6279.jpg |
