MG MGF Technical - Boot Hinge

Need to replace a boot hinge as the spring has broken. How difficult is this please, in particular access to the bolts that hold the hinge to the body. Thanks. Peter

Straight forward job usually.
Consider some difficult adjustment works to get the bootlid re-aligned when finished.

Mark the outer shape of the hinge brackets to the bootlid with a water resistant felt pen before loosening bolts.
The rear of the hood needs to be raised into service position and the carpet needs to get removed cause some boltes are located below the B-frame.
Take care on the wiring loom on the left.
