MG MGF Technical - battery

been having a flat battery lately found a bad earth clamp but has got me thinking about bonnet and boot lights if i remember right metro ones had a switch fitted to turn off i found part no AFU 4092. does anyone know if they are a direct replacements for the original ones thanks richard

Yes, Metro cabin lights are a direct replacement - and quite a useful upgrade.

Check the wiring diagrams.. I believe that the alarm is earthed thru the light/s.

If you leave them on 'auto' they mimic the earthing when the boot/bonnet opens but you have the 'stay on' and 'stay off' options, which can sometimes be useful.
