MG MGF Technical - Alternator

Hi, Is it possible to fit a late type alternator (the one with the plug) on to a early MGF (it has 2 bolts on the back) if so How?.

Not sure of the answer to your question, but bear in mind cars with Air Con have a different alternator to the more common cars without.

Hi, tried it earlier tonight and mechanically it fits... Just not sure of the wiring at the back, the large brown cable goes on the large bolt, but what about the other wire?, on the earier models there is a small bolt but on the later models it was replaced with a plug with two pins....????.
