MG MGF Technical - Adjusting brake pedal

Hi fellow enthusiasts. I wonder if anybody knows how to adjust the hieght of the brake pedal on my mgf? I have great trouble when i drive it( its the wifes car) as my size 11 boats dont fit between the pedal and the trim panel. it seems too high to me. Also, not sure if anyone else has this problem, but when i press the accelerator there is quite a bit of play before any resistance is felt( hope this makes sense!) any feed back and advice is greatly appreciated, thanks matt

There is a throttle cable adjustment on the throttle body end, best to get a helper as you do need a little slack in the system!!

thanks chaps, think whilst i am adjusting i will upgrade to 52mm alloy throttle body, heard they give good results with torque increase.
