MG MGF Technical - 99 MGF speaker sizes
Hello everyone, I'm a new MGF owner, picked mine up 2 weeks ago and so far so good. I've got a problem with the rear speaker behind the drivers seat and intend to replace it, my only problem is I have no idea what size it is. Does anyone know what the sizes are for all the speakers in the car? I'd like to upgrade all of the speakers in the car so if anyone can let me know what the sizes are it would be greatly appreciated. I bought this car on a whim and have to admit it's an incredible amount of fun even though it's now become a running joke that I've taken on a course in hairdressing. Thanks in advance for any help given. Regards Jeff

A friend of mine used to poke fun at the F until I gave him a passenger experience around Bedford Autodrome. He fell strangely silent after the first bend, and he's had nothing but praise for it since ;o) Not sure of the door speaker sizes, but the T-bar speakers are 10cm x 15cm. I can vouch for the Clarion SRC4616 being a little better than the OE speakers, but the plastic enclosure they bolt into behind the T-bar cover is, well, a bit plasticky, so there's probably more room for improvement in the door speakers.

Welcome to the club Jeff! :o) In answer to your question, the door speaker size is 16.5 cm. Enjoy the car - what are your plans for the ICE upgrade?

Nothing exciting Rob, I just want to upgrade the current speakers to something better than the standard factory fitted ones.
