MG MGF Technical - 30amp fuse keeps blowing after going through water

After driving through standing water the engine cut out. I traced it to a 30 amp fuse under the bonnet and replaced it, however, when I try to start the car the fuse blows again. Can anyone help please

Does it blow when the ignition goes live or when you try to engage the starter motor?

I am 99% sure that it blows when I try to start the engine

If that is the case your first port of call is the starter motor and it's connections.
