MG MGF Technical - 2 points handbrake and brakes
| merry christmas i have two points first when adjusting the handbrake cable in the centre console how many turns needed to tighten? is it anti clockwise to tignten up ?? 2nd point i feel my car is dragging, it seems to be comming from the rear drivers side, could this be from the pads sticking ?any help is needded .. this car is like a money pit.. have a great new year and lets hoope we dont have to many hgfs... darren milton keynes mgf owner ps mines 2001 21 plate |

| The first question is why play with the brake cables ?? The most common problem is stiction in the rear calipers requiring them to be cleaned or replaced. When refitting/replacing them, you must first seat the pads on the footbrake to set the automatic handbrake adjustment. Geoff F. |
