MG MGF Technical - 1.8 K-Series in Rover Coupe?

Hello All,

Quick question as seen above:

Is the 1.8 engine in the Rover Coupe from the 90s a K-Series like in the F/TF?

My mate's Mrs has a Rover and may have HGF.
