MG MGB Technical - What front roll bar?

Archived thread I found wasn't much use so here goes.

Which uprated roll bar is best suited to a '77 B GT lowered to CB ride height, 7/8 or 3/4?

Would be for road use and hopefully the odd track day in the future.

3/4 for road, 7/8 for track.

I have a 3/4" on my GT and a pal has the 7/8" on his roadster, both are V8s with Hoyle fully independent suspension, so are a lot different from a leaf sprung car. Both work well on the road. The thicker the bar the stiffer the front will be and the more the car will understeer before the tail breaks away.
