MG MGB Technical - Stainless Steel Knock-offs

Hi Folks:

I need help locating a supplier who has in the past sold MGB Stainless Steel Knock-off's. The last I heard is that the supplier was located in Sidney Australia.

Thanks: Rich Boris 67 MGB

Hi Rich.
(I've never posted here before!)
The supplier of the stainless steel knock offs is "Sportsparts"
Their address is 10 Myrtle Street Normanhurst Sydney NSW Australia
Phone number is (02)98751144 (Omit the zero when dialling from overseas)
Sportsparts is a small husband and wife operation. Bruce Smith is your contact there. He's a great source for advice, and it's a very rare occasion when he can't help me out.
The knock offs are made here in Australia. As far as I know, Sportsparts is the only source for them, (as well as the only source for a few other MG bits). They're not cheap, but the quality is excellent. I bought a set about five years ago.

Hi Tom:

Do you have an email address for "Sportsparts" or Bruce Smith?

Thanks: Rich Boris

I've just checked with Bruce Smith this morning by phone. He FINALLY DOES have an email address! sportsparts@bigpond.com
BTW I noticed you're doing up a 67 MGB. To my knowledge, Sportsparts is the only source for the rubber floor coverings for the early MGB's, indistinguishable from those originally fitted.

Hi Tom:

Thanks for Bruce's email address, and nice to know about the availability of the original style rubber floor mats. I am one who will not use carpeting on the floor pans; promotes/holds moisture and results in RUST.
