MG MGB Technical - Shortened bump stops
Is there anything special about shortened bump stops? My car is running lower than standard. The place where the bump stop contacts the spring pan shows a good polish. So I am thinking of using shortened bump stops. I have a spare pair of standard bump stops that I could trim down but I was wondering if there was anything clever about the shortened ones sold by Moss etc.

Just cut them down with a hacksaw. No problem.

Do you mean the front or the rear ones? The rears you can just cut down as Richard says. The shortened front ones do basically seem to be standard ones cut and welded together. You just fit them in without the alloy spacer.

I did mean the front. Thanks.
