MG MGB Technical - Radiator Overflow tube clips
Apologies for the silly question, but I do not have my shop manuals at hand and wanted to refit the overflow tube on my 71 US MGB. Am I correct that the clips are placed on the engine side of the radiator mounting panel and that the two clips are placed under the heads of the top and bottom radiator mounting bolts there on the left-hand side? This seems to be the proper place - just wanted to confirm. Thanks in advance, Jeff

Just had a look in Clausager (my car doesn't yet have it's engine let alone its radiator!) and you're correct. The overflow tube runs along the top of the rad to the car's LHS, threads through behind the mounting panel and runs to the bottom of the car via two clips as you said. The Haynes manual also has an exploded view showing just that.

Hi Richard - thanks so much for taking the time to consult the Clausager and Haynes books for me. Clips are now in place. Once I have my wire wheels back from sandblasting and painting, I should be back on the road. Thanks again. Jeff
